OLU ILARO IN COUNCIL ADOPTS BARR. OTEGBEYE-BOT AS REPs. CANDIDATE AHEAD OF THE FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS

Exactly in agreement with the popular Yoruba saying, "Omo eni kii se 'di bebere ki afi ileke si idi omo elomiran", The Olu Ilaro in Council ably led by His Royal Majesty, The Olu Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, HRM Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle (MFR), re-endorsed the candidacy of Barr. Olubiyi Otegbeye-BOT as their choice candidate to represent Yewa South/Ipokia Fed. constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly from 2019

The endorsement came today Friday 25th January, 2019 at the statutory meeting of the Council held at the Olu Ilaro palace in Oju Okeeke, Ilaro with the entire members of 'OLU IN COUNCIL' in attendance while receiving their golden son, Barr. Otegbeye, the Okanlomo of Yewaland.

In his brief opening remarks, HRM Oba Olugbenle described Barrister Biyi Otegbeye -BOT- as someone who needs no introduction to the Council given his usual contacts and immeasurable contributions to the development of the land.

Barr. Otegbeye-BOT appreciated HRM Oba Olugbenle for the opportunity given to him to meet with the OLU IN COUNCIL most members with whom he has been maintaining time to time private touch. 

The Fed. House of Reps candidate, BOT, gave a brief account of his stewardship in his political past and demonstrated a clear understanding of the numerous challenges facing Ilaro in particular and Yewaland in general.

Otegbeye also assured the Paramount Ruler and the Olu in Council that he will deploy every resources at his disposal to provide good and unprecedented representation for the good people of Yewa South/Ipokia Federal constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

He solicited the prayers and the support of the Olu in Council for APC in the forthcoming elections and his candidature while he also expressed full confidence in the unity and determination of Ilaro indigenes to massively vote him in as the first house of Representatives candidate to emerge from a leading political party from Ilaro.

In their separate commendable remarks, Members of the Council took turn to appreciate BOT's contributions to the development of Ilaro and Yewaland and shower prayers on him.

The Onoshokun of Ilaro Yewa, Alhaji Chief Kamoru Musa assured Barr. Otegbeye of the full support of the Council. "Patriotic sons like you who has consistently shown passionate commitments to the need of the his people must be supported with every capacity one has", he said. He, therefore, charged BOT's supporters to remain focused and ensure that they don't betray the cause.




Chief Ebenezer Babajide, Seriki Ilu Ata of Ilaro Yewa, lent voice saying "TENI-N-TENI" and added that Barr. Otegbeye's candidacy will be supported and defended in the interest of Ilaro in particular and Yewaland in general. Several other members of the Council took turn to appreciate and commit themselves to full support and mobilization of entire people of Yewa South/Ipokia Federal constituency to vote for the golden son of Yewaland.

In his royal remarks, HRM Oba Kehinde Olugbenle appreciated the Chiefs for their encouraging and commendable remarks on BOT, who has distinguished himself as a worthy son of Ilaro and Yewaland. Kabiyesi said Biyi is a special son of Yewaland who gives maximum respect and all round support to the traditional institutions and concluded that he is, no doubt, an eminent and distinguished son of the land who deserves maximum support of the traditional institution.



Special Prayers were offered by the Oluwo of Ilaro Yewa and The meeting  amidst large entertainment  from Gangan and Bata drummers with dancing  was brought to a close.
