"I WILL NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ANY RELIGION", BARR. OTEGBEYE ASSURES LEAGUE OF IMAMS IN YEWA SOUTH
The All Progressives Congress' candidate for the Fed. House of Reps(Yewa South/Ipokia constituency) Barr. Olubiyi Otegbeye-BOT has assured the Imams and other heads in Islam that he will respect all religion if elected into the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in the forthcoming Feb. 16th, 2019 election.
OTEGBEYE-BOT said this on Wednesday 30th January, 2019 at the Ilaro Central Mosque during a visit to the religious heads in Islam cutting across the Yewa South LG
While receiving BOT, The Chief Imam of Ilaro, Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi described Otegbeye to the gathering of Imams as a God fearing man who doesn't go back on his promises.
"Let me welcome into our midst a God fearing man who doesn't go back on every promise he made. I am very happy that a moment like this is here, today. With the total fear of Allah Who created heaven and earth and all that exist, let me in all honesty describe BOT as an eminent, worthy, respectable and reliable son of Ilaro with impeccable character and integrity. He described Barr. Otegbeye-BOT is a lover and supporter of Islam despite being a commited Christian. The Chief Imam testified that he had sponsored not less than nine people to Hajj. He urged other Islamic clerics to join him in welcoming a man of honour Barr. Olubiyi Otegbeye popularly known as BOT.
Barr. Olubiyi Otegbeye-BOT who was later given the floor to address the Imams started with notes of appreciation for the privilege he had meeting with the religious leaders that cut across the local government area. He commended the Chief Imam, Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi, for providing good leadership within the Islamic circle. He acknowledge the peace, tranquility and stability of Ilaro and environ as a whole through his leadership. He also saluted other Imams present for their cooperation with the Chief Imam.
Speaking further, BOT appreciated the Muslim society for her regular support and prayers for him particular during 2015 election. He then solicited for the support of the Muslim community and assured that he will not disappoint them at the Green Chamber.
In his reaction, The Chief Imam of Durosooto Central Mosque Ilaro, Alhaji Ibraheem Suliaman, assured BOT of God's favour and mercy out of faith. He added that Otegbeye's good deeds in the society and the good name he has built for himself over time will all work together for his favour in the forthcoming election.
Alhaji Adewunmi charged all the loyalists and workers of BOT to ensure that BOT continues to find trust in them and they should ensure they don't betray.
According to him, there are good rewards for every faithful follower who serves his/her master diligently and with total loyalty stating names of different successful individuals who had one time or the other served their various masters showing trust.
Of course, the gathering unanimously said words of prayer on BOT and his followers with serious recitations of the Holy Book and that brought the meeting to an end.
