OGUN APC: WHERE WILL THE ADHOMINEM ATTACK END?

THE ACUTE DISARRAY IN OGUN APC, AN ADHOMINEM  ATTACK ON GOV. AMOSUN OR A PLOT TO ELIMINATE PRESIDENT BUHARI IN 2019 GENERAL ELECTION?

By *Adetunji ADEDEJI*, CEO YEWA LAWA NIG. LTD

At the corner of my room my heart bleeds from the moment I regained my psychological sight and have myself separated from my initial state of addle while the game plan of those who keep conspiring against the candidature of Hon. Abdul-Kabir Akinlade-TRIPLE A naturally falls in my line of sigh and I asked myself again of what benefit is the ad hominem attack on Gov. Amosun and this deliberate plan to reduce President Buhari's chance of achieving his reelection bid by the conspirators of Gov. Amosun?

As a political observer and media practitioner, I have truly monitored the political events in Ogun APC and by now it has become very clear to me that the sole interest of the conspirators of Gov. Amosun is to win the election for the opposition at all levels come 2019 general elections.

Meanwhile, I am not in anyway astonished to see that Gov. Amosun has truly offended many of these business and political wizards that are now bouncing back on him *BUT WHAT ARE THE OFFENSES COMMITTED BY GOV. AMOSUN?*

1. Gov. Amosun's closeness with President Buhari: So many amongst the conspirators of Gov Amosun feel threatened with this fact and they believe that to cause these two men separation will serve as a boost to their own political carrier.

2. 2023 politics is already in play: As President Buhari is busy with his reelection bid in 2019, many of the conspirators of Gov. Amosun are mapping out their ways against 2023 political year and they continue to see Gov. Amosun as a threat that must be eliminated at all cost if their ambition must be achieved. The worst aspect is that as this people plan ahead of 2023 political year, they worry not on how their games may affect President Buhari negatively during the 2019 general elections.

3. The syndrome of *Amosun must not produce his successor*: To the best of the knowledge of Gov. Amosun's conspirators, the best way to reduce the influence of Gov. Amosun (Their political enemy) in his state is to deprive him the opportunity to install his successor no matter how brilliant Amosun's anointed candidate may appear or where he is coming from.

4. Failure on the part of Gov. Amosun to give some notable businesses owners within Ogun State a special treatment as requested by them.

5. Gov. Amosun's leadership style: Style is what is common in every establishment and it is one factor that distinguishes one organization from the other. No doubt about the fact that Gov. Amosun has stepped on so my toes as a result of his leadership style in the past seven years and what we are noticing today is that the owners of these toes on which he has stepped are now reaching out to get back at him.

Absolutely, Dapo Abiodun is not the choice of the Gov. Amosun's conspirators for he has never done anything differently in the history of Ogun State politics that must have planted him in the heart of these conspirators this much and neither do they(the conspirators) have any clear independent grudge against Hon. Akinlade and all these are verifiable.

Therefore, it is monstrously unfair to discover that the current predicament of Hon. Akinlade is a product of the ongoing ad hominem  attack on Gov. Amosun by his conspirators and which is solely born out of envy and battle of supremacy while Dapo Abiodun only got grabbed by these conspirators and made a rallying point for their selfish struggle and conspiracy since all these cannot exist in a vacuum.

In other words, this same Dapo Abiodun that is being celebrated by this same set of conspirators would have been kicked against by the same set of people if he had found himself in the position of Hon. Akinlade and Hon. Akinlade on the other hand would have also ended up being the choice of these conspirators if he had not found loyal to Gov. Amosun.

I am still in the corner of my room and my heart keeps bleeding as the intention of these conspirators has totally fallen in my line of sigh and my bleeding heart wastes no time to recognise the struggle of these conspirators as an exercise to stop Gov. Amosun from producing a successor and nothing more.

Although, the unprecedented infrastructural development and economic advancement in Ogun State under this current administration are a monument to Gov. Amosun, however, it is a great pity that those who are being afraid of what Gov. Amosun is likely to become politically as far as South West is concerned and feel they must use their political might to destabilize him so that they may retain their godfatherism are showing no sympathy for the political emancipation of Ogun West and Hon. Akinlade as her symbol for the struggle.

BUT ARE THESE CONSPIRATORS TRULY RESULT ORIENTED AS FAR AS OGUN APC/ RE-EMERGENCE OF PRESIDENT BUHARI ARE CONCERNED IN THEIR GAME OF AD HOMINEM ATTACK ON GOV. AMOSUN?

So far, every submission is aimed at analysing what brought us to this situation in Ogun State APC but under the above question, kindly permit me to discuss where we may find ourselves in some three months time, approximately.

If the presidency should turn a blind eye to the acute disarray in Ogun APC and fail to help Hon. Akinlade, the acclaimed winner of Ogun APC direct primary election, to have his mandate back and Dapo Abiodun should be allowed to sit on what does not belong to him, unquestionably, APC should be considered a thing of the past in Ogun State as many factors have been addled to explain the low winning chance of Dapo Abiodun from the entire Ogun East where he comes from.

In the three senatorial districts of Ogun State today, Ogun East remains the number one home of the opposition with too much and extremely strong opponent that will deprive Dapo Abiodun the needed electoral victory just the way he was denied in the 2015 general election when he  contested for senate and got defeated by Sen. Buruji Kashamu currently representing Ogun East at the Red Chamber.

Ultimately, without Hon. Akinlade as the APC governorship candidate, not less than 80% of the eligible voters from Ogun West will vote against APC following their 42years of political marginalization.

Truth be told, come 2019 general election, Gov. Amosun's giant stride in Ogun State shall speak for him and his influence shall bring result for any political party he may support from the central.

Finally, President Buhari should consider the past events and quickly realise that most of the conspirators of Gov. Amosun have a reasonable level of affinity with Alhaji Atiku, the presidential candidate of the major opposition party, PDP. Therefore, when the party is fully destroyed in Ogun State and the consequence is well established both at the state and federal levels, these conspirators will have nothing to lose but it should be noted that Gov. Amosun is always 100% committed and nurses no affinity with the opposition.

It is never too late to bring back the mandate of Hon. Akinlade as the NEC meeting holds this week so that peace may return and that the part may walk into her victory come 2019.

At the corner of my room, my heart bleeds!

God bless Ogun APC!

God Bless Gov. Ibikunle Amosun!!

God bless President M. Buhari!!!
