WHAT IS REALLY THE INTEREST OF THE YEWA PEOPLE?

Image
WHAT IS REALLY THE INTEREST OF THE YEWA PEOPLE? BY Adetunji ADEDEJI CEO YEWA LAWA NIG. LTD It is good to take note of many areas any government mighty have failed as we must not turn a blind eye and this will always be an evidence that we are always alive. Most importantly, the great people of YEWA being the most aggrieved set of people will have a lot of bitter stories to tell as it is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the infrastructural development within the land is not forthcoming. It is acceptable and very understandable that if this current administration will be condemned by any set of people, the great people of YEWA will be in the best position. Yes, very understandable! Without thinking of what YEWA people may likely have from the government of the day in terms of infrastructural development which is largely a future thing, one can suggest that YEWA people should accept the reality that this is where we have found ourselves and while it is als...

CONTROVERSY AS AKINLADES BATTLE OVER PROJECTS OWNERSHIP

Image
CONTROVERSY AS AKINLADES BATTLE OVER PROJECTS OWNERSHIP F-L: Hon. Kunle Akinlade and Hon. Abiodun Akinlade It is a mere empty statement to pronounce that everything is working out smoothly between the Hon. representing Yewa South/IPOKIA federal constituency at the lower chamber of National Assembly, Hon. Kunle Akinlade popularly known as TRIPLE A and the immediate past House of Reps member who represented the same federal constituency (Yewa South/IPOKIA federal constituency) between 2003 and 2015, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade. Although, the two political gladiators have been described as best of friends before the 2015 general elections which flushed out Hon. Abiodun after his 12years at the National Assembly and ushered in Hon. Kunle who now represents the area. As most people would have noticed, a reasonable level of decorum and smooth relationship were noticed between the two political gladiators despite that they belong to different political parties even though there are specu...

GOVERNOR AMOSUN SHOULD PLEASE RETURN OUR ARMORED VEHICLE

Image
YEWA LAWA PLEADS WITH GOVERNOR IBIKUNLE AMOSUN TO RETURN ARMORED VEHICLE TO ILARO YEWA It is no news that Governor Ibikunle Amosun has shown a great passion and competence in the aspect of crime fighting in the state considering the good effort Mr Governor has put in place to secure armored vehicles and which was distributed among the senatorial districts of Ogun state. It is also believed that the presence of these armored vehicles across the state serves as a great defence as the miscreants now have a reason to think twice before they make their attacks on the people wherever these armored vehicles are sighted. No doubt, the great people of Ilaro Yewa had benefited from the good gesture of Mr Governor as little or no crime was recorded during the time one of these armored vehicles was around and stationed at Ilaro new garage roundabout until the armored vehicle was withdrawn completely from Ilaro Yewa during the last dispute that was witnessed between the Police and Odaka ...

WILL YOU FIND IT BELIEVABLE AT ALL?

OURS IS A LOST GENERATION By Adetunji ADEDEJI I see my generation destroying the pillars that support the stability of my dearest country "NIGERIA". I see Nigeria becoming a banana tree. When a banana tree produces fruit and the fruit turns ready for harvesting, the banana tree meets its death from that moment because the tree becomes perish when the fruit is offloaded from the tree. Ours is a lost generation and could be described as a banana fruit on the tree that produces it. Ours is a generation that has come to send Nigeria to her early grave and with no mercy for the labour of our past heroes. This morning, i woke up to see my generation running after vanity. I see my generation neglecting what had earlier been embraced by our past heroes who brought our nation the freedom we enjoy today. My generation suddenly becomes a generation that does not seek to choose its role model from the midst of those whom have lost their lives in the real struggles for freedom...

GRACE IN THE EVIL

Image
"When I challenge myself on why things fall apart and strange things occur in my journey towards achieving the best I aim for, an internal voice mentioned to my senses that I will never achieve the best if I can't prepare to experience the worst from mankind. The voice mentioned to my senses how I should always appreciate those from whom I may experience the worst because they are the ones reshaping my thinking and reminding me why some basic things cannot be achieved in some basic ways. And when I am helped to refocus, that is only when I can become a successful man"-Adetunji ADEDEJI

"HABA, DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD WHY FOOD PRICES ARE HIGH?"-AKOREDE CRIES OUT TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Image
Akorede I have just read about a task force being set up by the federal government at its statutory weekly federal executive council meeting yesterday to look at the ways of bringing down prices of foods in the country, with a view to ensuring food security. Haba, do we need to be told why food prices are high, and to the extent that food at the rate we are going in Nigeria will become luxury and won't be a basic need in Nigeria again. We might begin to have a day meal and a day of fasting. Erroneously, most quantitative food economists keep attributing the present situation to an inverse relationship between food production and consumption in the country. Yes, the  microeconomic theory is certainly right. Governments at all levels, the federal government in particular should do everything possible to make foods available and affordable to Nigerians. The present food crises is brought about by high cost of production. I will only consider just 3 out of about 20 major reason...

DON'T LEAVE OUT PRINCIPLE

DON'T LEAVE OUT PRINCIPLE- BY ADETUNJI ADEDEJI Be careful of what you say YES to. A good leader must be a good listener. At times, a good leader rests his back to watch opinion formed in a   very complex gathering.  However, unworthy is he who allows words to be fixed on his tongue leaving out self principles and ideologies for the acceptance of external opinion. Remember, when self principles and ideologies are left out while entering into a deal, personality is no more because your image looses every immunity to resist attack as at the time your image is being crucified by the owner of the former opinion that passes through you to the public. No doubt, every man is responsible for his action no matter the number of people involved in the pre-action stage. Being stubborn and rigid at the point of deal making as a result of principles and ideologies may bring enemity, however, such is better because it prevents unavoidable future crucification. Remember, your best fr...

Agidigbo!

Image
Agidigbo is a drum made in Africa and is a symbol of discreet and secret communication by the people; especially among the Yoruba speaking nations of West Africa. The drum was, and is still an effective medium to pass messages between allies both in peace and war times. The messages were always coded and can only be decoded by the discerning and the initiates.   Therefore, agidigbo can be regarded as a harbinger of information. A unique and peculiar feature of the AGIDIGBO is that the messages are not direct – the messages are coated and clothed in proverbs!   It is a great source of cultural value awareness for any Yoruba young generation with core interest in the Yoruba cultural heritage and this makes AGIDIGBO to be very didactic in nature.   Where this is found, there is always a great display of wisdom by its handler. AGIDIGBO could not be found in any gathering where immorality is the order of the day.   Unlike other drums which are commonly used as musica...
